The Dallas Cowboys quarterback popped the question Thursday night in front of Crawford's family as they celebrated her 24th birthday at Five Sixty restaurant in Dallas.

The former Miss Missouri, who works as an anchor for KDAF-TV in Dallas, is the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford. She began dating Romo in September 2009, shortly after he famously broke up with Jessica Simpson on the eve of her birthday.

Romo, 30, is the latest Simpson ex to get engaged in recent time. Her former husband, Nick Lachey, proposed last month to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.
