BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The Social Network won four times, including best drama, to emerge as an Oscar favorite at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards held Sunday night in Beverly Hills.
The Facebook film also won best director honors for David Fincher, best screenplay for writer Aaron Sorkin, and the best musical score award for Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Top acting honors in the drama category went to Colin Firth for The King's Speech and Natalie Portman for Black Swan.
The Kids Are All Right also had a big night, winning best motion picture comedy. The film's star, Annette Bening, also won for top actress in a comedy.
Paul Giamatti picked up best actor in a comedy for Barney's Version.
Christian Bale was named best supporting actor for his role in The Fighter and his co-star in the boxing flick, Melissa Leo, was named best supporting actress.

On the television side, HBO newcomer Boardwalk Empire took home two awards, winning best drama and top acting drama honors for star Steve Buscemi.
Fox's musical hit Glee won three times, taking home prizes for best comedy and supporting acting honors for Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer.
Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory and Laura Linney of The Big C won top actor and actress in a comedy, respectively.
Comedian Ricky Gervais hosted the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
