HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's a tattoo match made in heaven: Jesse James and Kat Von D are engaged!
The motorcycle honcho and the tattoo artist have just announced that a wedding is in the works. The engagement comes a year after James made headlines when he was accused of having multiple affairs while married to actress Sandra Bullock.
"You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times," James tells People magazine. "2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs."
James, 41, and Von D, 28, began dating last summer, right around the time he finalized his divorce from Bullock.
"I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day," James said of his new fiancé. "My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f----n' blast!"
The LA Ink star also gushed about her husband-to-be. "There is no one else for me," she told the mag. "He's the one."
The two will reportedly have homes in Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.
No other details about their wedding plans have been revealed.
