NEW YORK — Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night, where he admitted to being worried in the game's final minutes.
Rodgers said he was nervous about his own special teams unit giving up a big play when Green Bay was forced to punt late in the game.
"We lucked out," said Rodgers, who was still clinging to some "bad memories" over the course of his team's season. "One of their guys punched one of our guys, got a 15-yard penalty."
The Packers quarterback ended his visit by tossing a completion to Letterman, drawing cheers from the studio audience.
Rodgers tossed three TD passes to lead the Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Sunday's Super Bowl XLV. It was Green Bay's first NFL championship in 14 years.
