Lady Antebellum Wins Big at 2011 Grammy Awards

Lady Antebellum, Grammy Awards, Grammys, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2011LOS ANGELES — Lady Antebellum won five times, including record and song of the year for their crossover ballad "Need You Now," to emerge as the biggest winner at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards held Sunday night in Los Angeles.

The country trio fell just shy of a perfect sweep when Arcade Fire took home the biggest award of the night, winning album of the year for their highly acclaimed The Suburbs.

Eminem was nominated for a leading 10 awards, but wound up with only two victories. Both wins came in the rap categories — best album and solo performance.

Another surprise came in the best new artist category, where jazz artist Esperanza Spalding won over the likes of teen idol Justin Bieber.

"I take this honor to heart so sincerely and I'll do my damnedest to make great music for all of you," she told the crowd at the Staples Center.

The evening's other top winners included Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and John Legend, who each won three trophies.

As always, the Grammys were filled with over-the-top live performances. Among those taking the stage were Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow, who teamed up with some colorful Jim Henson puppets for "Forget You." Other highlights included Mick Jagger making his first live performance at the Grammys.
