HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sharon Osbourne says she knows the difference between superstars, celebrities and those she considers "infamous" — someone who achieves fame with no talent.
When asked for someone who falls into the "infamous" category, the "America's Got Talent" judge is quick to name one of the world's most famous blondes.
"[Paris Hilton] has no talent," the 55-year-old Osbourne tells Parade magazine. "I'm sure Paris would tell you that herself."
Osbourne says the 27-year-old heiress has "a look that a lot of younger girls liked and copied," but that's about as far as it goes.
"The timing was right for her," Osbourne explains. "A lot of younger women looked up to her. She's a very sweet, nice girl. But that's it."
Often credited as the first celebrity reality show, MTV's "The Osbournes" helped paved the way for countless wannabe stars. Osbourne says she and her husband often laugh about the avalanche they created.
"I'm totally amazed at how shameless people are," she says. "They will repeat something that's been done over and over again and act as if it's unique."
"I think that the younger generation thinks all they have to do is get on TV and act a bit crazy and things will happen for them," Osbourne continues. "They've got it wrong because you need to have a talent to get really famous."
