What’s the celeb-tested way to stand up for yourself? Put your haters on blast, like Marc Jacobs.
The New York Post‘s Page Six reports that Jacobs, 52, hosted a “wild” orgy with around 10 men that he allegedly met on the dating app Grindr. Their sources said that the men were all “in their 20s” and that the ordeal lasted all weekend. What’s more, a source said that “people weren’t as good-looking as I expected” at the party. Oof. So of course, the outspoken designer took to Instagram to defend his actions.

Jacobs doesn’t exactly deny that the event occurred — he writes that it was a “guest” who divulged the info to the publication — but he does set them straight: “And to whichever guest benefitted from calling this misinformation into the Post, I only wish you good health, happiness, and a long life to enjoy taking advantage of the kindness of strangers…” He capped off the post with the hashtag “#reallyqueen?”
But if you think that that a few swipes on Grindr will get you access to a hangout with Jacobs, think again; He’s apparently quit the app. Shortly after the reports surfaced about his event, he posted a shirtless photo and wrote, “Goodbye (for now) Grindr, it was fun for ‘group’ gettogethers [sic] but what really excites me is my work.” He also pointed out that he’s only human: “Yup. I’m gay. Sometimes I enjoy sex. Sometimes! #stillonlyhuman”
In case you needed proof that he’s all about the work, since the incident Jacobs has peppered his feed with pics of models and stars wearing his designs.
Jacobs’ posts don’t acknowledge Page Six’s reports that drugs like GHB and a form of meth were present at the event. The designer went to rehab in 2007, and has spoken about his sobriety since. He said at a WWD summit in 2013 that he wasn’t totally clean: “I wouldn’t say I’m 100% sober. I’m not perfect. Maybe I’ve had a glass of wine, or a glass of whisky, or a joint, or other things…”
