LOS ANGELES — Scarlett Johansson has opened up about married life for the first time, but it's anyones guess where the quotes came from.
The actress is furious after U.K. Cosmopolitan put her on their January cover and published an article that the star claims was completely fabricated.
In a statement obtained by E! News, Johansson's rep calls the feature an "obvious attempt...to gain monetarily by misinforming their readers."
Much of the article centered around Johansson's Sept. 27 wedding to actor Ryan Reynolds, which took place at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver, Canada.
"This is a very beautiful time for me," the 24-year-old actress is quoted as saying. "Getting married is a huge moment in anyone's life."
"The few months leading up to [the wedding] were a little crazy," she supposedly continues. "But Ryan and I are in love, and we're enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction."
In the bogus article, Johansson says that her husband has a "very romantic side," which is something that the two stars share in common.
"My mom is a romantic person, and I think I inherited it from her," the magazine quotes Johansson. "She's very thoughtful and taught me there are many different ways you can be romantic."
Johansson, who next stars in "The Spirit," alongside Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes and Jaime King, will reportedly pursue legal action against the publication, E! says.
"Ms. Johansson, who goes to great lengths to preserve an authentic representation of herself with respect to her fans and the media, is disappointed to see a seemingly reputable publication inexplicably publish a work of fiction at her expense," her rep's statement concluded.
