NASSAU, Bahamas — Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, died Friday while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas, The Associated Press reports.
The couple's teenage son reportedly hit his head on the bathtub early Friday morning. He was found unconscious by a caretaker and taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, AP says.
Jett Travolta reportedly had a long history of seizures. He was the oldest child of the celebrity couple. Travolta, 54, and Preston, 46, also have an 8-year-old daughter named Ella Bleu.
The Travolta family had arrived their vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Tuesday.
"The Travolta family has become like family to us at Old Bahama Bay and we extend our deepest sympathies to them," the president of the property, Robert Gidel, told AP.
An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.
