HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Khloe Kardashian and her boyfriend, NBA star Rashad McCants, have split after seven months of dating.
Kardashian says the couple's breakup had much to do with the Minnesota Timberwolves star constantly being on the road.
"Relationships are hard enough as is when you live in the same city, and he's in a different city everyday for games," Kardashian explained on her Web site Thursday. "Our time together was just so limited because of both of our schedules that we decided it is best not to be in a committed relationship."
The news comes just days after Kardashian denied rumors of a split after a report included a picture of McCants with a mystery blonde in a hotel room.
"Just know that the other day when I responded to breakup rumors, we were still together and this is not the result of either of us 'finding' someone else," said Kardashian. "It was based on a mutual discussion we had and we realized that this is what makes sense for both of us."
Despite the breakup, Kardashian said the pair will keep in touch.
"The last seven months have been great and we will definitely remain close friends," she said.
