HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Bachelor" star Jason Mesnick said goodbye to Jillian last night, setting the stage for a "dramatic" final rose ceremony where he'll choose between Molly and Melissa.
Mesnick was shown in tears after he made the decision to eliminate the 29-year-old interior designer from Canada.
ABC announced the fan favorite as its newest "Bachelor" last August, one month after the Seattle native was the runner-up on "The Bachelorette." Mesnick said it was the outpouring of support that he received from fans after DeAnna Pappas chose Jesse Csincsak in the finale that pursuaded him into giving reality love another shot.
Mesnick, who is a single father to 3-year-old son Ty, previously told People that he was engaged, although that woman could be Molly, Melissa or the now single Pappas.
"I found exactly what I was hoping for, what I was looking for. I'm completely in love," he told the mag.
ABC will air the season finale of "The Bachelor" on March 2.
