In April 2005, Amanda George and Neil Weisberg joined forces to open Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills. A blend of Amanda and Neil’s vision, Neil George Salon redefines creativity and excellence in the world of hair artistry. Originating in England, co-owners Amanda George and Neil Weisberg simultaneously moved to the United States in the early 90s, having never met. In London, Amanda had previously trained and worked at Daniel Galvin before landing in Los Angeles at the prestigious Privé Salon on Melrose Place. While at Privé, Amanda traveled once a month to work from their New York location in the SoHo Grand Hotel. After six years at Privé, Amanda joined Chris McMillan Salon in 2001 to be based in L.A. full time. Neil Weisberg trained at Neville Daniel in Knightsbridge in London. Upon first arriving in Los Angeles in 1989, Neil worked at Joseph Martin Salon on Rodeo Drive then moving to the Art Luna Salon in Santa Monica. In 2003, Neil joined Chris McMillan Salon where he met his future business partner. Neil and Amanda quickly bonded over their British roots, keen sense of humor, and passion for hair artistry. Both Neil and Amanda felt they wanted to combine their experience to open a salon full of equally talented and vibrant stylists, creating an atmosphere of total beauty, where the ultimate inspiration is the client.
