In the suit filed Monday in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court, Maria Markova claims the 21-year-old actress took her $12,000 golden sheared mink coat without her permission and kept it for two weeks.

The 22-year-old Markova, who is a student at Columbia University, says she attended a private birthday party for a friend of Paris Hilton’s ex, Stavros Niarchos, at New York nightspot 1Oak on Jan. 26. Among the attendees was Lohan, who Markova recalled sitting next to at one point during the evening.

Earlier this month, Markova told the New York Post that she placed her coat in a common holding area, only to discover it missing when she went to leave about an hour later.

Upon leaving, Markova said she was convinced that her mink was gone for good. But two weeks later, she came across a picture taken of Lohan on the same night of the party, wearing, you guessed it, the very same jacket.

“It was my coat. It was no doubt,” she said of seeing the photo, which appeared in the Feb. 11 issue of OK! magazine.

Markova said she soon had her attorney, Merrill Cohen, on the phone with Lohan’s legal rep, Blair Berk. After threatening legal action, she received a phone call hours later from 10ak.

“They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word ‘coat,’ ” Markova said of the mysterious phone call. “They just said, ‘We’re going to bring you something.’ “

Markova received the coat two days later, although it reeked of cigarettes and booze, she said. After a trip to the dry-cleaners, Markova said she was content with her coat’s condition, however she still wants Lohan to fess up to her actions and pay at least $10,000 for the “rental.”

“I don’t see how it could have been an accident,” Markova told the Post.
