HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Marisa Miller has topped Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list for 2008.
The 29-year-old Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret model outlasted actresses Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel, who finished second and third respectively.
According to Maxim, the Santa Cruz, Calif. native Miller “embodies the official return of the all-American supermodel. Not since Cindy Crawford ruled the catwalk has a pinup born and bred on U.S. soil so thoroughly captured the imagination of the American male.”
Speaking of her career, Miller says, “I get a kick out of it, but it would be stupid to let it go to my head. It’s modeling — I didn’t find the cure for cancer.”
“Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria finished fourth, followed by former “Buffy” star Sarah Michelle Gellar, to round out the top five.
Others making the top ten on the ninth annual list were Elisha Cuthbert, Eva Mendes, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale.
