Results of an initial autopsy were inconclusive and toxicology tests have yet to be completed.

The examining pathologist told the coroner Thursday he came to the preliminary conclusion Rae died from a suspected drug overdose, a British wire service reports.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs in connection to the case, police said, however he has since been released on bail.

Bailey Rae met her husband while she was a student and working as a cloakroom attendant in a Leeds jazz club. The couple married in 2001 when she was 22.

Bailey Rae’s record label issued a statement on Sunday, saying, “EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time. We ask that the media respects Corinne’s privacy and that of her entire family.”
