HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Selma Blair is preparing to star as a lesbian high school teacher in the upcoming indie comedy “Driving Lessons.”
The 35-year-old actress is currently in final negotations for the role, in which she would become romantically involved with a student.
Madeline Zima, 22, who stars on Showtime’s “Californication,” has already been lined up for the student love interest role.
The film will revolve around a woman, played by Hope Davis, who receives a second chance at her unhappy marriage following the loss of her memory, which conveniently helps her forget an interracial affair she had with her neighbor, played by Chi McBride.
Blair has previously made headlines on screen with Sarah Michelle Gellar in “Cruel Intentions,” for which she won an MTV Movie Award for best kiss.
The film is slated to begin production next month in Los Angeles.
