HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Selena Gomez says recording her debut album has been one of the greatest challenges in her life, but she has no regrets.

“I love every bit of it,” shared the 16-year-old star on her MySpace blog. “I realize this is not my element. There will always be people who doubt you. But, I also realize I have tons of support from my fans.”

“This is something I thought long and hard about. I know I will regret NOT doing this,” added Gomez.

The Disney star, who is currently in Vancouver shooting the feature film “Beezus and Ramona,” said she has been experiencing her share of ups and downs while recording.

“I am going through change, growth and failure just like everyone else except my is open for public scrutiny,” said Gomez, who is rumored to be dating “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner. “Not everything you try in life is a major success.”

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” star has been filming a Web series called “Under Pressure” that chronicles her musical journey. Gomez said the series will debut sometime prior to her album’s expected September release.

“I will struggle at some things and you will see that. I will succeed at things that you will see that,” she said.

“I will never be able to express how much that has meant to me,” added Gomez.  “I look forward to sharing a very venerable time in my life!”
