BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan received a stiff warning in court Friday to comply with the terms of her probation sentence or face jail time.
Judge Marsha Revel extended Lohan’s existing three-year probation sentence as a result of the star’s failure to attend an alcohol education program. The class stems from the requirements of Lohan’s sentence following her second DUI conviction in 2007.
“This is the last time we are going to be talking about re-enrolling and doing what you need to do,” Revel warned the 23-year-old actress at the Beverly Hills courtroom.
Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, explained that the “Mean Girls” star was out of country for work and failed to notify the court of her absence.
A progress review hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 15.
“I’m rooting for you to successfully complete probation,” Revel urged the star.
Lohan’s career has been in a tailspin ever since the 2007 arrests. Her father, Michael Lohan, claims on Friday’s Maury Povich Show that the former Disney star is suffering from an addiction to prescription drugs.
“Lindsay, I love you with all my heart and … I am not going to bury you,” Lohan says in a message to his daughter. “You’re going to bury me before this is over. I will do anything and everything I have to save your life. Whether mom likes it, or the public likes it or anyone, I am going to take all the steps I can to help you because I want you to have your life back. You’re not in the right state of mind. You’re my daughter, honey, and I can do this anymore.”
