HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Carrie Underwood says her southern influence will be in full force whenever her wedding day rolls around.
“I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I’ll probably be rocking some big hair and some eyeliner,” the newly engaged country star told People at the People’s Choice Awards held Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Underwood, 26, got engaged last month to hockey star Mike Fisher. With both stars frequently on the road, the “Cowboy Casanova” singer said the couple stays in touch thanks to some handy technology.
“We’re big texters,” said Underwood, who will make her acting debut in a March episode of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother. “We talk on the phone. I-Chatting, I don’t know what we’d do without it to be honest.”
While the pair has yet to pick a wedding date, Underwood said she’s keeping her big day simple.
“[I want] a groom, good food and an open bar,” she said.
