HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jenna Jameson is slamming boyfriend Tito Ortiz after he claimed their domestic disturbance on Monday was caused by her addiction to Oxycontin.
The former porn star tells TMZ that Ortiz is "very, very desperate" after being arrested for felony domestic violence. The mixed marital arts fighter was hauled away to jail on Monday morning after police were called to the couple’s home in Huntington Beach, Calif.
At a news conference with his attorney late Monday, the 35-year-old Ortiz said the incident began after he confronted Jameson about her drug addiction.
"For Tito and her family this has been an uphill battle," his lawyer, Chip Matthews, told reporters. "Unfortunately this morning she had a relapse. Tito was trying to help her. She has threatened suicide before. Tito has done everything in his power to protect her privacy and the privacy of their children."
Jameson, 36, has denied the addiction claims, telling TMZ that the couple’s altercation began after she "said something very hurtful to his ego." She alleges that led to Ortiz getting extremely violent with her.
"[He] threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder," she told the celebrity news source.
Jameson has gone back and forth about saving the couple’s four-year relationship since the incident. However, she told TMZ the addiction allegations are "the last nail in the coffin" for their future together.
Jameson and Ortiz welcomed twin sons Jesse and Journey in March 2009.
