Michelle Williams is Marilyn Monroe

It’s no secret that a bevy of Marilyn Monroe films have been in the works lately, but the one to watch out for is set to arrive on November 4, just in time for the holidays. My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams, chronicles the true story of a movie-set assistant’s incredible week spent with the Hollywood star. Evoking the iconic bombshell blonde, Michelle graced the cover of Vogue magazine’s October issue in a spread shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Michelle told the magazine, “As soon as I finished the script, I knew that I wanted to do it — and then I spent six months trying to talk myself out of it. But I always knew that I never really had a choice. I’ve started to believe that you get the piece of material that you were ready for.”

Casting for this coveted role may have been no easy task, but the film’s director, Simon Curtis, wanted Michelle from the get-go. “Not only is she beautiful and brilliant, but she brings such intellect to her work, along with an intuitive grasp of character, extraordinary depth of feeling, and a kind of innate glamour — I guess we call it star quality, don’t we? For a director, it’s the dream package.”

The new trailer for My Week With Marilyn is already getting Internet buzz. This intimate look at a relatively unknown part of Marilyn’s life will be a must-see for Marilyn fans everywhere. Click here to see it now!
