She was voted off just two weeks in, but it doesn’t seem like Elisabetta Canalis is missed too much on the set of Dancing With the Stars. The series’ notoriously outspoken pro dancer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, had a bit to say about George Clooney‘s former fling’s fleeting role on the dance floor at ESPN The Magazine Presents The Third Annual Body Party in New York. “It’s all about fan base, and she had none,” Maksim bluntly told In Touch when asked if he was surprised by Elisabetta’s elimination. “I don’t know if being George Clooney’s ex is a title!”
However, Maksim has more faith in he and celebrity partner Hope Solo’s chances of taking home the Mirror Ball Trophy, a prize that requires the approval of both the show’s judges and fans. “We’re amazing,” he boasted. “We’ll be as good as we can be, and let America decide.”
Soccer star Hope, who celebrated her sexy ESPN The Magazine cover at the soiree, agrees that she and Maks have the charm and talent to make it to the top. “I know I have a committed sports fan base, and I’m competitive,” she told In Touch. “This is a competition I want to win!”
Will Hope and Maks survive another week? Watch Dancing With the Stars on ABC tonight to find out!
