Robert Downey Jr. Re-Focuses Attention onto Mel Gibson at American Cinematheque Awards

Robert Downey Jr.’s A-list Hollywood pals came out on Friday night to see the Sherlock Holmes actor receive a high honor at the 25th American Cinematheque Awards in LA, where the 46-year-old actually re-focused the attention to his tribute presenter Mel Gibson.






“You should forgive him and let him work again,” Robert said to the audience at the Beverly Hills Hotel according to E! Online, of forgetting Mel’s past personal issues and focusing on his big screen talent.

Robert, who was recognized for his achievements in film, was also joined by the likes of Jennifer Aniston with boyfriend Justin Theroux, Michael Douglas, Jodie Foster and Jack Black among others.
