It’s been a busy weekend in Malibu. Not only did Shannen Doherty get married, so did Twilight’s Nikki Reed and American Idol’s Paul McDonald! The happy couple managed to keep their wedding day details under lock and key prior to the big day.
The whirlwind romance for Nikki and Paul began back in March when they first met. Merely four months after that the couple got engaged and started planning for their big day. According to RadarOnline, Nikki previously indicated that Spy Kids star Alexa Vega was going to be her maid of honor at their wedding.
Earlier this month Nikki told reporters they were planning an intimate wedding. “It’ll be small,” she said. Plus, Nikki didn’t want to reveal too much information about her dress. She added, “I haven’t told Paul anything! He is super traditional and wants to be surprised and all of that.”

Paul chimed in and also told reporters about the possibility of serenading his wife on their big day. “I have a handful of songs, I may bust out one or two,” the 27 year-old explained.

Paul’s band, The Grand Magnolias, was expected to play at the wedding and Stefano Langone, another American Idol alum, indicated that Paul asked him to sing. Stefano recently told OK!, “I am singing at the wedding! They are complete opposites and opposites attract! And, I love them both. They are hilarious.”
