Hi, everyone, and welcome to my OK! blog! I’m so excited to be back for a new season! Every week, I’ll share all my behind the scenes stories as I take David Arquette from dapper actor to ballroom great on this season of Dancing With the Stars. So glad you’ll be joining me!
I had the flu all last week, it was horrible. I had antibiotics and had to push through it but it was horrible. We got through it and we got a really good score last night! It was amazing. We’re tied for second place now, and and Carrie Ann said we’re now contenders which is a huge huge confidence boost for David. It was nice to have a really good night, and he’s just getting so much more confident week after week. It’s really exciting. He’s definitely picking things up a lot quicker now so that’s really really good.
KYM JOHNSON’S DWTS DIARY: HAVING A SCREAM WITH DAVID ARQUETTE!
It was so much fun last night, the tango was really fun. we were in character all week being these rock stars. It was fun reminiscing about the 80s all week. David’s having so much fun with the competition and he’s at that halfway point, he wants to keep going. He’s got this newfound energy for the competition and he’s so motivated. He has a lot of energy in general, he’s got such a big personality, and he’s really good now at staying calm on the dance floor whereas before he let his energy overtake his body.
KYM JOHNSON’S DWTS DIARY: WE’RE MAKING A COMEBACK THIS WEEK!
I think now he’s really calm, like last night during the tango he remained calm the whole way through — but then when we’re finished he’s excited again. He’s got this really infectious personality, it’s adorable! It all just came together, it was really good fun.
Not just dance wise, for him just personally he’s come a long way. He’s learning how to focus his nerves and he told me that this competition is more than just a dance competition to him. He’s learning a lot about himself as well. He’s learning how to deal with those nerves. It’s live TV, it’s so nervewracking. you really do have to remain calm and it’s a really difficult thing to explain. The celebrities are all out of their comfort zone, it’s such a hard thing to do. Seeing David, how he’s come through to now it’s the biggest improvement. He’s always different int he way that he approaches it.
OK! NEWS: DAVID ARQUETTE TEASES NEXT DANCING WITH THE STARS PERFORMANCE — “JUST BARE NAKED”
Tonight, I’m nervous. Especially seeing the last two weeks, it’s so unpredictable. In ever thought that Chynna and Kristin would go, so you just really don’t know what’s going to happen. I really hope that we don’t get eliminated because it’s Broadway week next week and I really want to do our dance! I’m just taking it week by week and hopefully people voted for us and we stay in.
Wish us luck!
