Quentin Tarantino is hoping to lock down actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt for an unspecified role in the director’s upcoming Western revenge tale set on a plantation, Django Unchained.
The actor wants to join the movie, which would reunite him with his Inception co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has quite a few scheduling issues, though, that stand in the way. If he can’t get them sorted out, he will miss the shoot, which begins this January in New Orleans.
The movie centers on a slave, played by Jamie Foxx, who teams up with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to retrieve his wife from a nasty plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio). Other cast members include Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Kurt Russell, and Don Johnson.
Django Unchained comes to theaters December 25th, 2012 and stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Kurt Russell, Laura Cayouette. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.
