Open Road Films and Liddell Entertainment have announced they plan to release Silent House on March 9, 2012.
The horror thriller was part of Elizabeth Olsen‘s breakout doubleheader at this year’s Sundance Film Festival; her other film there was the critical darling Martha Marcy May Marlene.
The film centers on a woman (Elizabeth Olsen) who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around her.
Silent House comes to theaters March 9th, 2012 and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Adam Trese, Eric Sheffer Stevens, Julia Taylor Ross, Haley Murphy, Adam Barnett. The film is directed by Chris Kentis, Laura Lau.
