It’s been seven seasons in the making, and finally, we get to see the Slutty Pumpkin in action.
Introduced — by nickname only — in the first season of “How I Met Your Mother,” the woman Ted met at a Halloween party in the year 2000 has haunted him as a potential wife (and mother!) that got away. CBS’s announcement that Katie Holmes will play the role in a Halloween episode in which Ted seeks to find her created waves, as did the first pictures of her in the infamous decorative gourd costume.
Next Monday night, the long-awaited reveal finally goes down, and to pump loyal HIMYM fans up for the over-affectionate jack-o-lantern, the network has released some clips of the episode. Right off the bat, Naomi (no, the Slutty Pumpkin wasn’t given that name from birth, unfortunately) gets super friendly with super picky Ted, and we can see already that no matter how fond his memories of her are, she may not be the woman worthy of the unending reminiscence the show has become.
