Djano Unchained Adds Anthony LaPaglia

Anthony LaPaglia joins Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained

Actor Anthony LaPaglia has joined the cast of Django Unchained for director Quentin Tarantino. Anthony LaPaglia will play the leader of an Australian group who runs into Django (Jamie Foxx), just after they acquired a group of slaves to turn into fighters. Here’s what the actor had to say about Django Unchained.

“It’s wildly ambitious and imaginative, deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before. The way the cast has shaped up, it’s exciting to be involved.”

Anthony LaPaglia also revealed he will play the brother of Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s character. We reported a few weeks back that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is interested in joining Django Unchained, although scheduling issues still need to be worked out.

Quentin Tarantino is directing Django Unchained from his own screenplay. Production is scheduled to start in January, on location in New Orleans.

Django Unchained comes to theaters December 25th, 2012 and stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Kurt Russell, Laura Cayouette. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.
