Hot on the heels of this morning’s news that Amazon Prime has made a deal with Disney-ABC TV, Netflix has announced that they have extended their license agreement with ABC Television Group, enabling them to continue streaming previously run seasons of popular ABC, ABC Family, and Disney Channel programming.
With this extension comes a slew of new, previously unavailable series from the Disney-ABC library, including Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, Alias, and Switched at Birth.
Netflix will also continue to carry the already available Disney-ABC series Lost, Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives, along with a number of new series that have aired on The Disney and Family Channels.
This new contract further places Netflix in direct competition with Amazon Prime, now that both parties are making this Disney-ABC content available to customers.
