Actor/director Bill Paxton is in talks to direct the Kung Fu big-screen remake for Legendary Pictures.
John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan) is writing the script, and it is said that Legendary is prepping to shoot Kung Fu in China, as early as next summer.
The project is based on the 1972 series Kung Fu, which starred David Carradine and ran for three seasons. The series followed a Shaolin monk as he wandered across America. Despite his desire for peace, the monk would regularly display his exceptional martial arts skills during his adventures. Since this project is gearing up to shoot in China, it isn’t known which kind of direction they are taking with the story.
This will be Bill Paxton‘s third feature directorial effort. He previously directed Frailty in 2002 and The Greatest Game Ever Played in 2005.
Kung Fu is in development . The film is directed by Bill Paxton.
