The Weinstein Co. will release its Meryl Streep-starring awards hopeful The Iron Lady Dec. 30. just in time for some Oscar contention.
Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the biopic centers on British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The film was set to release Dec. 16. but now will open Dec. 30 in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles, before expanding wide Jan. 13.
The Iron Lady comes to theaters December 16th, 2011 and stars Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Anthony Head, Richard E. Grant, Roger Allam, Olivia Colman, Nick Dunning, Julian Wadham. The film is directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
