Unlike Kim Kardashian, who traveled across the globe for business just hours after filing for divorce, her better half, Kris Humphries, is healing his broken heart back home in Minnesota.
Surrounded and supported by family, Kris’ aunt Diana Humphries says, “Kris is doing just fine. We support Kris 120 percent. We love him very, very, very much. I talk to him all the time and he’s doing fine.”
But it’s quite evident the Humphries family doesn’t feel the same way about his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim. For Kris’ other aunt, Marcia Evans, told friends she was surprised the couple had gone through with the wedding in the first place. Back in June, just two months before the big wedding took place, Marcia said, “It’s a miracle the relationship has gotten this far. I hope and pray that if God ordained their union that it will go on.”
Sadly however, Marcia, who lives in Michigan, wasn’t invited to the couple’s nuptials as the Humphries had a family reunion scheduled for August 21, just one day after Kim and Kris’ fairy-tale wedding.
Furthermore, Marcia tells friends she was infuriated that she and most of her extended family had to hear about Kris’ wedding plans from the media.
She says, “I was disappointed not to hear from Kris and I was doubly pissed that no one called anyone in Michigan to tell us the news. Kris didn’t even call his grandmother to tell her he was getting engaged.”
Marcia said, “The Humphries family reunion would have been a great opportunity for the family to meet and greet the new bride, that is if Kris and Kim were serious about each other and about family.”
But unfortunately, the reality star’s tendency to control every last detail down to the wedding date overshadowed the importance of family and her 72-day marriage is further proof Kim was not ready to welcome the in-laws.
