The 45th annual CMA Awards led ABC to a resounding ratings victory Wednesday night as the three-hour program averaged 16.32 million viewers, outpacing its closest competition by some 5 million, Nielsen overnight data shows.
It also pasted rivals in the industry-prized 18-to-49 demo, scoring a 4.8 rating — a 2 percent rise over last year’s CMAs (which hit an all-time low).
