Oh, brother. Liam and Noel Gallagher are at it again, but this time, it’s Noel’s turn.
Following Liam’s libel suit against Noel, for claiming that Liam caused Oasis to pull out of a 2009 festival due to his hangover, Noel has responded with a 14-page countersuit, accusing Liam of behaving badly on numerous occasions, according to the Daily Mirror.
Though Noel apologized to Liam for the hangover claim, leading Liam to drop the lawsuit, it looks like this battle is just beginning.
“The claimant [Liam] had a history over the years of not only throat problems and of pursuing such an incompatible lifestyle, but of treating Oasis fans and the defendant with disrespect by disrupting gigs, including walking off stage, assaulting them and generally acting irresponsibly,” the suit reads.
There are 12 different incidents listed in the suit — from between 1994 and 2005 — in which Noel claims that Liam disrupted gigs because of his behavior. In one of the more startling accusations, Noel says that brother Liam attempted to attack him in 2009, in an incident that led to the end of Oasis.
“Liam confronted the defendant (Noel) both verbally and physically, swearing and screaming at him.â Liam then allegedly began âswinging a guitar around like an axe, nearly smashing the defendant in the face with it,” the suit says, calling the event “the last straw.”
