Summit Entertainment is moving forward on the Scott Z. Burns penned thriller The Bitter Pill, which will be Steven Soderbergh‘s next film as a director.
Steven Soderbergh decided he wanted to make the film after leaving the helm of Warner Bros.’s now floundering The Man from U.N.C.L.E. remake.
The story follows a depressed woman who over-medicates herself out of fear that her husband will soon be released from prison.
Filming will begin in April.
The Bitter Pill comes to theaters in 2014. The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh.
