It turns out mermaids are not part of our world.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released an official statement debunking the existence of mermaids, saying that “no evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found.”
But why did a government agency take a stance against a fabled aquatic creature?
