Happy 31st B’Day, Beyonce Knowles!
And what a year it’s been for the Grammy-winning diva. Not only did she give birth to her first child, daughter Blue Ivy, she performed four sold-out shows in Atlantic City and wowed the world with a stunning rendition of “I Was Here” at the United Nations, in August.
What will the next 12 months hold for Mrs. Jay-Z? Rumor has it, she’s getting ready to work on her fifth studio album. She’s also still attached to star in the hotly anticipated remake of A Star Is Born, from director Clint Eastwood.
As we await to see what her next move in, Celebuzz has decided to honor Beyonce’s big 3-1 by recaping her five best music videos.
Check them out, below, then be sure to with Queen B a very happy birthday in the comments.
5.) “Why Don’t You Love Me”
Knowles channeled her inner-’50s housewife for this Mad Men-esque video, in which she took on the role of B.B. Homemaker. Sasha Fierce, eat your heart out.
4.) “Video Phone”
Knowles teamed up with fellow-pop star Lady Gaga for this epic, albeit bizarre, music video that was every bit as fascinating as it was nonsensical.
3.) “Crazy in Love”
It’s the video for the song that launched Knowles’ solo career straight into super-stardom. Between her booty shorts, red heels and opening strut, what’s not to love?
2.) “Countdown”
Knowles once again went the retro route for her single “Countdown,” which featured lots of colors, costume changes and admittedly killer dance moves. The kicker: She did it all while she was six months pregnant.
1.) “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”
Four years later, the video for Knowles’ biggest hit still feels as memorable as it did when it first premiered. Because, well, yeah.
