After her split from Seal, Heidi Klum has confirmed that she is indeed dating her bodyguard Martin Kristen.
“I’ve know him for four years,” the supermodel told Katie Couric on the set of her talk show Wednesday. “He’s cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children. Helped us tremendously. I trust him. I trust him with my children’s life. He’s a great man. And we just got to know each other from a completely different side.”
Klum, 39, also talked about where her relationship with her soon to be ex-husband stands as well as her thoughts on his recent comment that she was “fornicating with the help.”
“I don’t know if we’re the greatest friends right now, especially the things that he said,” Klum said.
“I just saw him on Sunday. We were talking. … It’s a work in progress. You have to take it one day at a time. It’s hard, ya know, especially when you are in the public eye too.”
As for Seal’s comments that she may have been cheating on him with her current flame, the Project Runway star said, “Yeah, he has a very unique choice of words. I’m used to them. I don’t know. I obviously… I don’t love that.”
“Obviously it’s not true. I’ve never looked at another man when I was with him. It’s hard when you think that he thinks that. He was hurt. He’s moved on…and so have I.”
The made one other thing clear: what matters most is her four children, Leni, 8, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.
“I’m trying to think of my kids right now … I’m trying to protect them from this right now,” she said. “They’re very young.”
