Chris Hemsworth picked up the hammer again Tuesday when Thor: The Dark World started shooting in South East England.
The actor, who made his breakthrough as the Son of Odin in Kenneth Branagh’s 2011 comic book adaptation, was spotted dispatching adversaries – complete with stunt double in tow.
Hemsworth was photographed while shooting scenes with Jaimie Alexander, who plays fellow Asgardian warrior Sif.

The Dark World is being directed by Alan Taylor, who made his feature debut with the 1995 film Palookaville but made a name for himself in television — most notably as the helmer of HBO’s acclaimed series Game of Thrones.
Also returning for the sequel are Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard and Kat Dennings.
Thor: The Dark World is scheduled for release on Nov. 8, 2013.
