A year after Entourage wrapped up its last season, the acclaimed HBO series is set to move to the big screen.
Creator Doug Ellin is currently completing the final pages of a feature film script bringing back Vincent Chase and company, Deadline reported Wednesday.
According to Ellin, the script is set six months after the end of the show, when Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) moved from power-broker to studio head.

Mark Wahlberg, the series’ co-executive producer, has evidently been threatening the show runner in order to keep him working on the screenplay.
“[He says he’s going] to kill me if I don’t write faster. Every time I see him, Mark says, ‘I’ve made 5 movies this year. Get going!”
In terms of the story, Ellin indicates that the film will explore the events following Gold’s promotion, but it won’t neglect the chemistry of the four main characters who first attracted viewers.
“There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me,” Ellin said. “But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters.”
HBO executives Richard Plepler and Michael Lombardo, meanwhile, have indicated that they want to look at a script before beginning to make deals with the cast. Nevertheless, Ellin told Deadline that he was excited about the prospect of revisiting the series.
“I’m excited. I feel a lot of positive energy,” he said. “Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘Where’s the movie?’”
