Oprah Winfrey was crowned “Queen of All Media” many years ago, but that doesn’t mean the mogul is resting on her laurels.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Winfrey tweeted pictures from the set of The Butler, Lee Daniels’ film in which she co-stars opposite Forest Whitaker as Gloria Gaines.
In the wake of the acclaim he received for directing Precious, Daniels’ film has attracted an all-star cast that includes Jane Fonda, Lenny Kravitz, James Brolin, Alex Pettyfer, Robin Williams, Alan Rickman and many others.
What’s Oprah shooting behind the scenes?
The film tells the story of Eugene Allen (Whitaker), a butler who served under eight Presidents while working in the White House.
Winfrey’s pictures reveal shots of Fonda and Brolin as Nancy and Ronald Reagan, and Kravitz as James Holloway.
She tweeted pictures of both herself and Kravitz in the make-up trailer as they were transformed into their characters.
The Butler is set for release some time in 2013. In the meantime, watch the trailer for Daniels’ upcoming film The Paperboy.
