The pressure is on for the performers in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars: All Stars and dancer Kym Johnson appears to be feeling it.
“I’m more nervous this time around than for any other season,” she told Celebuzz on Friday at Entertainment Weekly’s pre-Emmy party at Fig & Olive in Beverly Hills. Clad in a beautiful Nicholas Finnerty dress, the star continued, “But I think that’s because I know everyone is going to be so good. We haven’t seen anyone else’s routines. Everyone is being very secretive in the studios.”
Johnson, 36 will be taking on the all-star competition with former ‘NSync group member, Joey Fatone.
How is she feeling about her and Fatone’s chances on the upcoming season?
“He’s a performer, so I definitely feel confident with him as my partner,” reveals the Australian dancer. “I think we’ve got a great routine but everybody will so. You know, I just don’t want to be the first ones to go. That’ll be hard because someone is leaving the first week. So that sucks. It’s quite cruel.”
Johnson also mentioned how proud she is for the show and host Tom Bergeron’s Emmy nominations.
As for her reaction to Maksim Chmerkovskiy leaving the show, she told us she hadn’t heard of his decision. However, she loves working with him. Chmerkovskiy will be re-teaming with Kirstie Alley this season.
“I’ve known Max since obviously when I first moved here. They became like my family. You know Max is… he’s amazing and such a sweet guy and well we’re a big family we really are.”
