Emmys 2012: January Jones Dons Dramatic Black Gown (PHOTOS)

Black is the new black for January Jones.

Living up to her red carpet reputation, the always-chic Mad Men star — who plays Betty Francis on the hit AMC drama series — made a statement in an all-black ensemble.

The Mad Man star stunned in a semi-sheer black number by high-fashion favorite Zac Posen.

And she let the dress do all the talking.

With a slicked-back up ‘do and sans jewels, Jones’ let her dramatic, floor-grazing gown — featuring a criss-crossed bodice and full-bodied skirt — take center stage.

And she wasn’t the only actress from Mad Man — which has a chance to make history by snaring its fifth best drama award — shining on the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Elizabeth Moss — up for outstanding lead actress in a drama series — wowed in floral-printed strapless frock, while the always-busty Christina Hendricks supported her designer pal Christian Siriano in a belted, beige gown.
