Move over Joan Rivers, there’s a new Sheriff of Fashion Police.
Ty Pennington may know how to build a house with his bare hands, but Pennington also knows a thing or two about putting together an outfit for television’s biggest night.
The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host, 47, was blown away by all the bold colors on Hollywood’s leading ladies hitting the red carpet on Emmy night 2012.
What color stood out the most?
“I think it’s great,” he said. “It seems like a lot of red! It’s a bold color. It’s really nice to see it popping out everywhere.”
So where was The Revolution star’s own ode to red? The coy carpenter left just enough to the imagination.
“I’m wearing red in other places, but you know…exactly!” he smiled.
In addition to being able to don a tux and get dolled up on Emmy night, Pennington was just happy to be amongst his ABC family and TV peers.
“I’ve been blessed to be a part of something that I think is a unique thing in television,” he said. “It’s a great television show, but also really makes a difference.
“It’s good to be a part of the whole experience.”
So who’s he rooting for tonight?
“Boardwalk Empire (and) Showtime is doing some great stuff.”
