Diego Klattenhoff may play a tough guy on Showtime’s hit series Homeland, but he was as star-struck as any regular TV fan at the 2012 Primetime Emmys.
Celebuzz caught up with the actor on the red carpet during television’s biggest night to chat about how he’s coping with Homeland‘s impressive nine nominations — two of which the series has already won at the Creative Emmys last weekend.
“It’s incredible to see all these talented people together,” he said of Homeland being nominated amongst other TV greats. “I’m trying not to freak out.”
Who are some of the celebs that got the actor “sweating through his shoes?”
“Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston,” Klattenhoff told us. “You just have to stand back in awe.”
He added, “Breaking Bad and Mad Men — I’ve watched these shows for years now.”
