Almost two years since splitting with then-wife and fellow Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter, actor Michael C. Hall made his first appearance with his girlfriend Morgan Macgregor at the 2012 Emmy Awards, leaving fans wondering the identity with this new leading lady.
The new couple looked adorable in matching black ensembles on the red carpet Sunday night — exchanging romantic glances and displaying major PDA at the awards show.
Who is Hall’s new gal?
Celebuzz did a little digging on the Canadian beauty and pulled up the top five things you should know about the 41-year-old actor’s new girlfriend.
1. She’s a bookworm.
Macgregor is a book critic and an Associate Editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books.
2. She has a fascination with “dark” things.
Macgregor has revealed in the pst that her favorite book is Donna Tartt‘s The Secret History, a novel about a man reflecting on the murder of one of his close college friends, and how the death has impacted his relationship with their tight-knit group. Her favorite movie is Tim Burton‘s Beetlejuice.
3. She wants to be an author.
Macgregor is currently writing her own novel, though there’s no word yet on what the subject matter will be.
4. She has a witty sense of humor.
Macgregor once had her Twitter handle changed to @MonikerLewinsky, a play on former White House intern — and subject of Bill Clinton‘s cheating scandal — Monica Lewinsky‘s name.
5. She’s entrepreneurial as well.
According to her biography on Book Riot, Macgregor dreams of opening a bookstore called Dead or Alive.
