Gwen Stefani, 42, was spotted in a dark denim jacket with coordinating dark skinnies while in Paris, the capital of chic, today for the launch of No Doubt’s new album, Push and Shove. Doubling down on dark denim is a smart way to give this trend a more sophisticated (and slimming) look.

Charlize Theron, 37, and Katie Holmes, 33, are repeat offenders. Both ladies were spotted in head-to-toe denim on multiple occasions. Comfortable yet chic, the double-denim look is perfect for busy moms like Holmes and Theron.
Denim devotee Cameron Diaz, 40, makes the trend work by breaking up her baby blues with a white blouse. A bold red bag completes her all-American look.
Who knew? The Canadian tux is far more versatile than it may appear. Appropriately channeling nineties era grunge for a night out with Guns N’ Roses singer, Axl Rose, 50, Lana del Rey, 26, pairs acid wash jeans with an equally-faded denim blouse. Sticking to the same style denim is the key to making the edgier wash work.
