Mariah Carey isn’t letting her alleged feud with Nicki Minaj get her down, especially on her husband Nick Cannon’s birthday!
The American Idol diva and her hubby were all smiles as the two celebrated Cannon’s 32nd birthday at Playhouse Nightclub in Hollywood Sunday night, one day in advance of Cannon’s actual b-day. Carey, 42, tweeted, “On to the party! Happy birthday @nickcannon! instagr.am/p/Qgs_AOLeMZ/.” Apparently, the late-night festivities even included party hats.

After the weekend birthday festivities, it’s back to work for Carey, who is currently shooting American Idol auditions across the country. However, the singer probably appreciated the down time.
Reports of her behind-the-scenes feud with rapper Minaj erupted after things reportedly got so heated on the Idol set, Minaj lashed out at Carey, shouting, “I told them I’m not f***ing putting up with her f***ing highness over there.”
Since the verbal altercation — which was caught on video camera and posted on TMZ shortly after — Carey has beefed up her onset security team. She was even spotted with a police escort in Baton Rouge, La.
However, some believe that the Idol feud is nothing but a publicity stunt to boost falling ratings. Voice mentor Cee Lo Green told TMZ, “This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything’s legit.”
Meanwhile, former Idol judge Steven Tyler told TMZ that the whole thing is too good to be true. “Of course, are you kidding?” Tyler said in Los Angeles.
