From one Gleek to another.
Glee stars Darren Criss, Naya Rivera, Kevin McHale, Dot Marie Jones showed their support for local students by acting out their scripts for a star-studded performance this weekend.
The do-gooding celebrities teamed up with nonprofit organization Young Storytellers Foundation to reinforce arts education in Los Angeles public schools by putting on the performance called “The Big Show’
And it was certainly a memorable night.
The actors went as far as to actually audition for the students before they were cast in each sketch.
Young Storytellers Foundation is a non-profit program in which students pen their own short screenplay and are then encouraged and guided by their mentors to perfect their pieces.
In the final week, actors from film and television come to the school to perform each script. Last year, the program worked in over 30 local schools and more than 700 students completed an original screenplay.
